Recently, I saw a new page that allowed you to paste your time card into it, and it would generate a quick snapshot of your credit and pay for the month. It was speedy and convenient. But after using it for a few months, the site was updated and asked for a PAID subscription to essentially do a simple math problem you could do yourself with a calculator.
Now, we all don’t like pulling out a calculator to itemize our own time card. Cutting and pasting is definitely way easier. But to pay for a subscription to do this, I thought was insane for something so trivial. It became important to me to keep this FREE!
Now granted, I’ve hired a programmer to put this together for me. The programmer is through a company I’ve dealt with for over 10 years and know and trust. This will cost me personally some monetary amount that has yet to be finalized, but this is about principle to me. If I had the skill set to program this myself and do the good deed that it seemed to be at first, I would have kept it that way instead of trying to monetize it. But hey! It’s America and everyone is free to do as they wish. If you feel the same way about this like I do, you certainly can donate to my GoFundMe. The goal amount will be the actual costs ONLY to developing and running this site.
